Marlon came to live with me in November ‘08 along with Monty & Bob, after a work colleague had to give them up after moving back in with her parents.
Marlon was intro'd to Bob and Monty when they were already an established pair and is definitely the least dominant of the three. He is a lovely rat, very gentle and no trouble at all. He is quite shy and isn't keen on being handled. He used to squeak every time I picked him up but has now got used to me. The first time he went out for free-range he got behind a table in the rat room and hid, refusing to come out. I had to put a carrier on the floor with a biscuit in it and wait until he eventually got into the carrier and I could retrieve him! Luckily he is a lot braver now.
