Jemima

Jemima, Female PEW fancy/pet rat

D.O.B: Dec 2008

Variety: PEW

Health: Abcess Apr '09.

Jemima was a naughty purchase from the pet shop where I work. She came in with 3 black hooded rats which were kept behind due to them sneezing so they got used to being handled due to them getting meds and became quite outgoing and friendly. The three hoodies all got sold, leaving poor Jemima on her own, so I had to buy her!

She got chucked straight in the aviary with the other girls, then ended up being being picked on by Nutmeg & Fogwatt. These were removed to give her a chance to gain some confidence, at which point she developed a massive abcess on the back of her neck, so she got removed and lived with Sugar while it healed. They then all got moved into a different cage and thankfully settled down. She still has regular squabbles with Fogwatt and Nutmeg but is perfectly capable of looking after herself.

She has become a really confident outgoing little rat who reminds me of Mustard, as she is the first to the door and spends the whole of free-range time racing around at 100mph.
