Charlotte was one of my first two rats, purchased from the pet shop I work in. I bought her and Treacle home on Jan 2nd 2007. Poor Charlotte had been there since November 2006 and was the last of a group of six to find a home. She was very nervous when I first bought her home and for the first three weeks would spend the whole of free-range time hiding under the furniture. When she came out of her shell she developed into a friendly outgoing rat who seems happy to greet new people and has actually got livelier as she's got older. Charlotte loves her food and even though she's now an older lady will still fight the youngsters for a chicken bone and comes running at the rustle of the treat bag.
